Before leaving Italy to England we stayed in Bergamo for a night. (Our flight to London was from Milan Malpensa airport and we were returning from Pisa.)

Malpensa airport is around one and half hour drive by bus from Bergamo just half hour more than Milan city by bus from Malpensa.Bergamo airport itself is not very far from Bergamo township.Bergamo therefore would be an excellent starting or ending point for tourists to Italy .

In Bergamo we stayed in the B & B fcility operated by FRANCO GANDOSSI and MARIA ROSA husband and wife team.Their photographs are shown below.

This B&B facility is more than a halting place to stretch one's legs. Depending on your temperment it could be a place where you could stretch your mind, be it the design of Franco's house - which he did it himself - or the cultural heritage of Italy which they seem to foster and carry forward or their committed efforts to cater to the comforts of their guests.

In any case I strongly feel that this should either be a starting point or the ending point of a tourist's visit to Italy
